Indulging their cut and stick passions like never before, Django Django’s new video for ‘Life We Know’ is built around a collage obsession like few others.
“Every day I cut images from the the daily paper, images which caught my eye for one reason or another,” explains the video’s director (and Dave Django’s brother) John Maclean. “Then, after six months, I decided to try and tell a story by linking them through montage - which became environmental and architectural without a great deal of curation from me.”
It’s the perfect pair up with Django Django’s kaleodoscopic sound, pairing the scrapbook visual with a kitchen-sink approach to earworm melody and pop oddity. Watch it in full below, first on DIY.
‘Life We Know’ is the latest track to be taken from ‘Born Under Saturn’, Django Django’s second album. We gave that a glowing four stars back upon its release last year, before sitting down for a natter about all things Django round two.
