JACK GARRAT BBC SOUND OF 2016

Jack Garratt has defied unpredictability by winning this year’s BBC Sound Of poll.

The BBC’s yearly accumulation of new music tips - from DJ’s, producers, tastemakers of all shapes and sizes - has picked out the Island-signed, London-based musician as 2016’s choice.

Garratt is set to release debut album ‘Phase’ this February. It follows two EP’s, plus a tour with Mumford & Sons. He’s the beardiest one man band with gadgets in an age (ever?), and he’s going to be huge. 

The Sound of 2016’s top five is actually a six, this year. Garratt tops the poll. Alessia Cara is at #2, Nao at #3, Blossoms at #4, while Mura Masa and WSTRN share the fifth spot.
